In early 2024, Brilliant Sole was re-imagined and re-founded by original members Jeff Guard and Mike Bower, joined by new partner Zack Qattan. Zack and Jeff first met in 2020 at an investor event in Palo Alto, where they bonded over a shared vision for the immense potential of smart footwear.

Zack, who had already achieved software development success with his own smart footwear platform, Ukaton, recognized the unique potential of the Brilliant Sole team and their innovative hardware system.
